What if it rains on my event? Sorry we don't offer rain checks, and cancellation rules will apply if canceling. So please stay on top of the weather as sometimes we can also try our best to let you know in as much advance as possible if we see that their's rain forecasted.
Yes! Absolutely. We require that you make any changes up to 4 days prior to your event without any possible charges. Restrictions may apply for extreme situations. After the 4 days additional charge may apply due to ordering extra food or required additional services.
There are many horror stories that we hear of weekly. So we will never put you in that position. It's very unfortunate how many caterers do that. We've never had to cancel on any events in all of our years doing this. If ever it was to happen (extremely unlikely) you will receive a full refund plus an additional 10% to show you how much we care about your event.
Due to the large amount of events and amount of time in the catering business we do not offer tastings. Please read our Yelp reviews under Gordo's in Azusa. We offer the highest possible quality in food and service. We have some exceptions for the most extreme of events like weddings that we will offer tastings at an additional cost that will be subtracted from your total cost if hiring us.
Since most of our foods are wood smoked and wood grilled, we rarely cook onsite due to the number of events we do on a daily basis. An additional charge may apply if cooking onsite. Be sure to ask. All food is kept up to local health department standards during transport, set up as well as while we're serving. You have our promise that the food and service that you get with us will be one of the most amazing experiences that you can possibly have or have had.
You will get to keep all leftover food and food items. From the main dishes, sides to toppings and extras. At no additional charge we will provide you with either ziploc bags, disposable aluminum pans or both. In some cases we will be able to provide you with leftover plates, napkins and forks if they weren't used. We want to make sure the party goes on even without us. That's what your getting with us. The ultimate food experience.
Yes, there's usually some sort of restriction or rules that apply for venues. Due to the many venues out there we cannot promise that will be able to accommodate all venue requests. So please be sure to ask us prior to booking. Typically they require a simple insurance agreement. Which we can provide at no extra cost. After that please be sure to ask us to see if we can fulfill their requests.
It ranges from $13 to $23. It may go up with certain types of foods and services as well as serving times.
We price you on buffet table serving. Where people line up to get their food as we serve them. It's not self serve. Unless requested. But you risk food shortage if doing it that way. We're there to make sure that it doesn't happen. Additional serving stations and plated food served will be an additional charge.
Luckily we've never been short on food in all our years of catering. We've heard several horror stories about other caterers. Just hearing them gives us more assurance and pride in what we do. Their have been a couple instances where extra unexpected or unaccounted guests show where we're all able to serve them most of the time. Only because we start with more "reasonable" portions and increase them as we are finishing. That ensures that you will have enough food for everyone. Plus we bring an additional 5% of food. We do not bring any extra food besides that. So be sure to order a bit extra always. Especially if you think more guests will arrive.
So we typically do a half pound of meat per the main entree(s) total per person. Usually children get counted two for every 1 adult. We're here to make sure you have enough food and don't overspend. Seniors and elderly should be counted as only 2/3 of an adult because they don't eat as much usually.
Sorry we do not. Please ask us about bartending referral services. We have plenty.
We require a 30% deposit to guarantee your event with us the day of booking. The remainder is due when we show up and set up. Prior to serving. No exceptions. If we're not doing food then the final balance is due as soon as we're done providing the service.
Is there tax, gratuity or a service charge added to my order? The tax is already included. We actually pay the tax for you. Gratuity is a minimum of 15% that's added to your event on your invoice. Since we're essentially bringing the restaurant to you by doing everything they do and also setting up our serving station, attending to your guests, taking their orders and serving them as well as breaking down and cleaning up our work area we do add that gratuity charge. If you like the food and service you're more than welcome to do more than the minimum gratuity. Typically our customers do 18 to 21 percent because of how amazing our food and service is. Because we understand how much the economy fluctuates we've removed our automatic service charge.
Since we get extremely busy in order to lock in your event, it's best to lock in your event with a guest count that you may think you have or the minimum of 50 guests. If it's less please let us know so we could let you know what our minimum charge is for your type of food and service. So the final guest count is due 4 days prior to your event serving time. After that additional charge may apply.
Since we have catering down to a science, we've figured out the most cost effective way to take care of our customers. For both the customer and for us as well. We've managed to give you the very best price we can by doing this. Because typically our style and quality of food is priced much higher. So we do 1 server for 50 to 70 guests. It also depends on the type of food and event. It may be more. So be sure to ask.
If doing full service or plated catering we'll let you now how many waiters/ servers to expect. There is an additional cost for these services.
